Kedah Gerakan Chairman Dr Cheah Soon Hai today supported Penang Gerakan Chairman Dr Teng Hock Nan and severely slammed the Secretary General of DAP, Lim Guan Eng for twisting the latter's statement, such act was intended to mislead the public and to stir up hatred towards Barisan Nasional leaders.
He commented that Lim Guan Eng lacks the prestige of a politician. He says that being a Chief Minister of Penang , Lim Guan Eng had twisted the statements made by others to defame and attack his opponents.
Dr Cheah Soon Hai who is also the state assemblyman for Derga said, Dr Teng had made some very fair statements such as "some people who are lack of knowledge are misled by Lim Guan Eng" and "do not blindly adore Lim Guan Eng," yet, both the statements had been twisted by Lim Guan Eng to become "Dr Teng says, those who supports Lim Guan Eng are ignorant."
He said, it is very obvious that Lim Guan Eng who is famous for being unforgiving even when he wins in his reasoning, only knows how to criticize other people and always fails to accept the comments by others, this has clearly demonstrated his ego-centric dictatorship mindset.
He is in the opinion that Lim Guan Eng has ran out of tactics to counter the criticism towards him from every direction, therefore he can only use a low class way to rebut his opponent which is by diverting attention and twisting statements to defame them and entrap them.
Dr Cheah urges Lim Guan Eng to learn from Dr Koh Tsu Koon and put in more effort to realize a two party system in Malaysia. He also urges Lim to humbly accept the idea and materialize a two party system and not just provide lip service on the issue yet unable to accept the criticism and political point of view from the opponents.
He also said that Gerakan President Dr Koh Tsu Koon had clearly accepted and pledged to materialize a two party system for the advancement of the nation during the Gerakan National Delegates Conference held last year.
