Kedah Gerakan warmly welcomes the visit of the experienced DAP leader cum parliamentarian Lim Kit Siang to Kedah for a very important political speech, it is hoped that Lim's visit to Kedah this time will speed up the process of resolving the people's livelihood problems.

 
 

The Chairman of Kedah Gerakan said in his press statement that after the political tsunami in 2008, PAS had taken over the state administration of Kedah, since then, there had been numerous policies which are based on Islamic ideology and that had severely affected the lives of many be it materially or mentally.

 
 

Dr Cheah who is also the Derga state assemblymen also said that the Pakatan Rakyat government does not allow property development on paddy fields land and swapping of Malay reserve land with freeholds.  The current PAS government had even increased the quota for housing from the previous 30% to 50%, this has led to the retreat of property developers.  This has directly impacted the industries alongside with the housing development plan negatively and indirectly affected the tax revenue of the government.

 
 

In view that property development industry is a lucrative business which boosts the economy whilst increase the income of the people, Gerakan urges Lim Kit Siang from DAP to help the people of Kedah using his wisdom and influence by reversing the current stagnant state of economy faced by the Kedahan.

 
 

Gerakan views that Lim Kit Siang and DAP possess the ability to change the destiny and direction of the nation, hence, Kedah Gerakan urges Lim Kit Siang to stay on for a few more days to understand the issues and difficulties faced by the people in Kedah so that he can fight for the best interest of the people in Kedah during the 2012 budget debate.

 
 

Kedah Gerakan salutes and honors the Lim Kit Siang's unbending fighting spirit and perseverance, despite being shut out of the door when he attempted to meet with the Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azizan on the issue of slaughter house for pigs in Kedah, he still met Kedah Menteri Besar in KL relentlessly.

 　　民政党吉打州主席谢顺海医生非议人民公正党州行政议员陈楚江，指爪夷文早已成为该州官方文字的说法，并认为是一项谬论。

 
 

 　　他认为陈楚江以其报生纸和35年前所购买的土地地契以爪夷文书写，来佐证爪夷文早已是吉州官方文字，是企图合理化回教化政策，来掩饰及回避公正党无法捍卫非回教徒的权益。

 
 

 　　也是德卡区州议员的谢顺海发表文告说，陈楚江出生的1933年，仍没有马来亚及后来的马来西亚，而当时仍属英国殖民地时期，官方文字是英文。

 
 

 　　他指出，马来亚于1957年独立后，官方文字是马来文，而不是爪夷文。

 
 

 　　他说，民联执政吉打州后，州务大臣拿督斯里阿兹然竟然只在其马赛地官车挂上只有爪夷文的车牌，令不懂爪夷文者不知其含义。当时，民政党曾在会议上反对这种做法，因为其他非回教徒根本看不懂。而民政党和马华的立场获得陆路交通局的认同。在各方的压力下，吉打州务大臣才被迫将车牌换回罗马文字与数字。他还说，"既然吉打州务大臣也知道这是不切当的，为什么陈楚江还坚持认为使用爪夷文是无所谓的？他应该为非回教徒争取他们的权益，而不是认同这种回教化的政策。"

 
 

        谢顺海医生表示，爪夷文在吉打州已有成为官方文字的迹象，因为在双溪大年和玛莫都可以看见全爪夷文的传教和劝人为善的告牌，而其他吉打的地区也出现全爪夷文的广告牌，这令人感到担忧。

 　　
 

        他继说，这反映回教党漠视马来文为官方文字，并刻意着重爪夷文，坚持欲在多元民族、多元文化及多元宗教的我国建立"回教国"。

 　　
 

        他遗憾陈楚江升官后，不但认同回教党主导的吉打州政府所实施的回教化政策，而且还挺身而出，勇于为各种回教化政策辩护及美言。

 　　
 

        谢顺海劝告陈楚江回头是岸，切勿再为回教化政策发表违背良知的言论。民政党吉打州联委会主席谢顺海医生今日针对公正党吉打州行政议员陈楚江竟然表示爪夷文是回教徒的宗教文化，并呼吁华裔同胞不要炒作其课题的言论深表遗憾，并做出严厉谴责！

行动党秘书长林冠英面对吉兰丹州务大臣兼回教党精神领袖聂阿兹的"坚持落实回教法"的做法，犹如自家人放火烧后院外，更印证了国阵批评民联是一个没有共识的阵线。虽然如此，但事实上，这并没有改变华裔对行动党的支持。行动党虽自称是多元种族的政党，但行动党的政治理念在大多数的城乡地区，是不会得到马来人的支持。也因为如此，行动党只能到华裔选区居多的地方竞选，而大多数华裔选民还是会把选票投给行动党，从中也举出一种现象，即华裔选民支持行动党，但不代表他们认同回教党，甚至是公正党。

选民从未思考过一个问题，在这马来人占大多数的国家，民联在没有共识及巫印选票大幅度回流国阵下，难以执政中央，而行动党只敢到华裔选区挑战马华。在这样的情况下，不再是"
YES，就是要两线制"，而是"YES,就是要两种族制"。年轻的选民都认为华裔没有代表在内阁不是一件坏事，至少可以告诉政府，"华裔非常不满"！是的，我们可以对政府发出这样的讯息，但事实上，这也是让机会给其他友族来剥削我们的力量，尤其是在内阁上。再多的在野党华裔议员也是一年大约100天左右在国会殿堂大喊大骂，而内阁会议是常年开会的政府最高机构。

谈回回教法，林冠英日前说道，"随着巫统、马华和民政在回教法的课题出现不同的意见和看法，行动党表示，国阵成员党在回教法课题出现的分歧也应该受到质疑，特别是是否会造成分裂！"(http://www.laksou.com/?m=nation_more&id=11950)

 

说真的，巫统、马华和民政在特定的课题上，有意见分歧已不是第一次，也无须林首长来质疑。近60年的合作，分歧不少，分裂从未过。相反地，回教党与行动党离离合合多次，现在聂阿兹更说，"坚持回教法，若行动党不满意，可以随时离开民联，请便！"同样地，马华在国阵内，也面对过类似的委屈。回教党只不过是另一个巫统，但回教党的坚持落实回教法却是巫统50余年来，不曾执行的政策。

KOTA BHARU, Sept 22 (Bernama) -- Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat said today it did not matter to him if the DAP wanted to quit the Pakatan coalition if PAS were to go ahead with its plans to implement hudud laws and turn Malaysia into a fully Islamic state, should it come into power.

"I am firm about this, implementing hudud laws has been talked about for some 50 years and is not something new. There has been endless dialogues on it.

"DAP had previously pulled out from the opposition pact Angakatan Perpaduan Ummah (APU) because of this (implementing hudud laws). If now they want to do the same (pull out from the Pakatan coalition because of hudud laws, that is their problem," he told reporters after attending a civic function at Pusat Tarbiyah Islamiah Kelantan (Putik) here today.

Nik Aziz was commenting on the statement by DAP chairman Karpal Singh yesterday that the DAP rejected hudud laws and turning Malaysia into a fully Islamic state because this was against the Federal constitution.

The Pakatan coalition is made up of the DAP, PKR and PAS.

Under hudud laws, thieves hands are chopped off, adulterers will be stoned to death and murderers executed.

吉打州民政党主席谢顺海医生今天表示，民主行动党应该针对吉兰丹州务大臣聂阿兹提出要在吉兰丹实行回教断肢法表明立场。

 
 

谢顺海医生说，行动党不应该回避这件事情。安华已代表公正党表明他支持聂阿兹实行回教断肢法的决定。而副首相丹斯里慕尤丁亦表示马来西亚还未是时候接受回教断肢法，因为马来西亚是一个多元种族与多元宗教的国家。

 
 

他说，"副首相说，回教断肢法是回教教义中的其中一部分，有关方面需要做出很多的解释方能让大众了解这个回教法。我们的立场是在目前这个时候，在马来西亚实施相关的法律。我不认为目前的局势适合实施这样的法律。"

 
 

谢顺海也是德卡区州议员。他表示，回教法治理州不会影响非回教徒的言论简直就是在说谎。 显然的，吉打州回教党政府在行政上推出了一些具争议性与具回教色彩的政策，由于遭到非回教徒的激烈反对而被迫撤回。一个明显的例子就是吉打政府曾尝试在斋戒月禁止娱乐场所经营。

 
 

他表示，民联三党的政治理念各不相同，根本没有任何共同点将他们联系一起，而这种政党联盟若是执政中央，那将会对我国的前途有很严重的负面影响。

DAP must state its stand regarding the adamant attitude Kelantan MB Nik Aziz of setting up Islamic State.

Nik Aziz has blamed Tun Dr.Mahathir for its failure of implementation of hudud law in Kelantan. Dr Mahathir had previously written to Nik Aziz informing him that Kelantan did not have the right to implement the law.Now Nik Aziz has challenged Prime Minister Najib not to come in the way of its implementation of hudud law.

Kedah Gerakan Chairman Dr.Cheah Soon Hai said DAP should not be evasive of this issue.Anwar Ibrahim on behalf of PKR has stated clearly that he back Nik Aziz in implementating the hudud law.Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has made it clear that Malaysia is not ready for hudud law because it is a multi-racial and multi-religious country.

The Deputy Prime Minister said while hudud law was a component in Islamic teachings, a lot needed to be explained to the people so they could understand it.
"Our stand is that in Malaysia, we cannot implement it in the present situation.I do not think under present conditions, it is suitable for implementation.

Dr.Cheah, who is also state assemblyman for Derga said it is blatant lies to state that the Islamic State policy will not affect the non-muslims.It is evident that Kedah Pas-led government has introduced its controversial Islamic value policy in its administration,many need to withdraw due to opposition from the non-Muslims.One notable example is the ban of entertainment outlets during the month of Ramadhan.

Dr.Cheah  said，the ban which is still not officially lifted by the Kedah Government, only exposes weaknesses in the opportunistic coalition of PAS-DAP-PKR who do not share common values and policies and it is a time bomb for Malaysian politics if they are ruling the Federal Government.

 
 

He said, there is nothing to bond them together ideologically and this is detrimental to the future of Malaysia.

Dr.Cheah Soon Hai,Kedah State Gerakan Chief said this is the best Merdeka Gift that has been given to all Malaysians.This clearly shown that the government is serious in the transformation programme.The police is able to safeguard internal security and public order without the ISA.

Dr.Cheah who is also Derga state assemblyman added that indeed the Emergency Laws are no longer needed in this time and age.The commitment of the government to amend or abolish any laws that were no longer relevant is well demonstrated by the move.

This bold decision is a big step towards liberty and transparency.

民政党吉打州联委会主席谢顺海医生对于反对党持续提出选民册的一些小弊端，如年龄、性别、地区等问题，并大作宣传的手法感到遗憾。他认为民联三党是在制造假象，企图利用该课题使人民认为选民册是充满错漏和不可信赖的。

 
 

谢顺海说，"其实选举委员会已经不止一次表明选民册是由人手负责输入，有所疏忽是在所难免的。选举委员会也曾强调这些错误个案仅仅是占了全国选民册中的0.0001%，可是反对党却一直大肆宣传，以误导人民以为我国的选举是肮脏与不公正的。其实选举委员会一直都在为这些极其少数的错误进行改正中。"

 
 

谢顺海也是吉打德卡区州议员，他说，"首相宣布成立国会遴选委员会，以探讨选举制度，并进行选举改革，足见国阵也要有公平选举与干净选民册的决心，反观反对党却表现得毫无诚意，并诸多刁难，这是令人深表遗憾的。反对党在这之前曾提出召开紧急会议以进行选举改革，但是现在却不肯加入，这岂不是自打嘴巴？"

 
 

"由这件事来看，民联各党一直都在玩弄该课题，企图煽动人民的情绪，并不是真正要一个干净的选举制度。人民须要知道，反对党频频炒作的一些个案，根本是不足以影响选举的成绩，别忘了民联在国会拥有超过三分之一的中选议员以及多个州属的执政权都是在他们所谓的'肮脏选举制度'下获胜的。"谢顺海强调。

 
 

谢顺海指出，选举委员会定时公布选民册，让民众查阅，同时在进行选举时，也会邀请外国观察员到现场监督，显示我国选举根本是公开与透明的。因此，反对党说选举制度是肮脏的，根本是谎言和无稽的。

 
 

谢顺海敦促反对党不要再拿选举制度进行炒作，反之应该关注民生问题，为人民服务，而不是一味地炒作胡闹。
